Before & After Care (OSHC)
Before & After Care (OSHC)
Research accentuates that high quality programs significantly influences children and young people’s growth and development. We believe our service provides the opportunity to construct a supportive learning environment and program, with inspirations from the children, young people and families. We believe this contribution can encourage children to feel a sense of control over their actions, interactions, to explore, be curious and test out their understanding of themselves others and the world around them, whilst having fun in a light-hearted, educational program. Our OSHC service is governed and Approved by the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time Our Place (MTOP). We believe our OSHC service runs a sustainable practise, encouraging and teaching children the 3 R’s, Reduce, Re-use and Recycle Australia is an increasingly multi-cultural society and as we recognise more cultural and ethnic diversity, inclusive of our Indigenous and Torre Strait Islanders, it is imperative we lead children in recognising and respecting similarities and differences in cultures. We believe the cultural beliefs, linguistic and religious diversity represented within our (OSHC) and wider community helps to form the foundation of the program being implemented to ensure we are promoting an inclusive environment for all children. Our Service is committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children is maintained at all times whilst being educated and cared for by educators and staff at [Templestowe Valley P.S. OSHC]. We promote a child safe environment that minimises the risk to all children in our care from all types of abuse, harm and neglect. We understand our responsibilities and statutory duty of care to comply with both the Child Safe Standards and the Reportable Conduct Scheme to build our capacity as an organisation to prevent and respond to allegations of child abuse.
